I LOVE food, like the thing I was most excited for when visiting Hawaii was the food. Okay, that might not be true, but I was really excited for the food and I am happy to report that I was not unsatisfied with anywhere I ate. I did a lot of research to know some of the must go places in Oahu, but a lot of these places I just happened to stumble upon. In no particular order, here are the top 5 places to eat in Oahu, Hawaii.
I am very grumpy in the morning until I get my breakfast, so finding a good breakfast place is crucial. Not only is Aloha Coffee aesthetically pleasing, but it is also delicious. I got an acai bowl and my boyfriend got a breakfast platter. This was my first Hawaiian acai bowl this trip and I was in love. The acai and the fruit on top was so fresh! Of course I added peanut butter which is always my go to when getting an acai bowl. This bowl looks small but it was super filling and the perfect cure to my morning grumpys. I do not eat meat, but this breakfast platter looked amazing. Before coming here, my boyfriend and I just got done hiking Koko Head and we were exhausted. The breakfast platter was perfect for a healthy refuel for the rest of the day.

-The Sunrise Shack-
The Sunrise Shack was at the top of my list of places to eat before I even got to Hawaii, because I saw it all over Instagram and obviously I wanted that perfect Insta pic. The Sunrise Shack is legit a shack on the side of the road near the north shore. It was a journey to get to, but it was totally worth it and not just for the Instagram pictures. My eyes were clearly bigger than my stomach the first day because I got a large smoothie bowl and I couldn't finish it and I always finish my smoothie bowls. Even though I was not able to finish it, this bowl was probably the best smoothie bowl I have ever had. All of the fruit was so fresh and the toppings were delicious, especially the macadamia nut butter.
The Sunrise Shack is so adorable and I loved being able to show up in my bikini after spending the day at the beach and enjoy a cold smoothie bowl outside. I couldn't help but smile while being here because of how positive the environment was and how happy the workers were. I knew I needed The Sunrise Shack again, but it was a pretty far drive from Waikiki. BUT, luckily they have a second location in Waikiki. It is an indoor location, but it is just as cute as their original location. Their Waikiki location also has the cutest merch and you know I had to buy a T-shirt!
-Maui Brewing Co.-
I hope your mouth is watering after reading this post, because I am about to book a trip to Hawaii just for the food and I need someone to go with! If you go to Oahu, without me, then be sure to stop by these spots, take pics and tag us in them so we can live through your food pics!
